Due to the ongoing uncertainty and risks related with the COVID-19 pandemic around the world and after careful consultation and deliberation, the artistic committee of the outHEAR New Music Week has decided to postpone the 3rd Edition of the international symposium and master class for composition, originally scheduled to take place 1-10 of April 2022 at the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa.
During the past months, we've been closely monitoring the scope of the current pandemic and were cautiously optimistic that we would be able to hold scheduled events as planned. We have exhausted all possible deadlines before we made our final decisions. All messages from around the world, make it now clear that we cannot go ahead with outHEAR New Music Week 2020 as originally planned. With a sense of responsibility, and with the agreement of Mayoralty of Culture and Sciences of the City of Larissa and our main sponsor, SIEMENS Music Foundation, we have decided to push the events to the beginning of coming fall.
The safety and wellbeing of our artists and all those invited to the Festival from Greece and abroad are our highest priority. It is our priority, as well, to host a “live” as opposed to an online edition of the festival.
